Tasting Notes
Viticulture
This wine is a blend of different Pinot Noir clones sourced from different blocks in our vineyard. The 2005 harvest was cool and low cropping with the wines produced rewarded with great structure, depth of colour and concentrated flavours.

Recent Endorsements
3½ STARS - Michael Cooper Winestate magazine, August 2007 Spicy, almost syrah-like wine, matured in all-new French oak. Deeply coloured, with fresh acidity, a strong, smoky wood influence and good depth and complexity. Still youthful. $36
Graeme Barrow July 2007 It’s fresh and frisky, balanced with cherry and roast meat aromas and flavours and a smooth texture.
Peter Shaw Waikato Times, April 2007 There are cherries and oak aromas on the nose, and the palate has dark berry flavours of cherries and oak and spice. It’s a well-structured wine with balance.
